Who we are
A2Ready (a2ready.com) is a practice tool for the Romanian A2 language exam. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us through the contact page of this website.
What we collect
Your email address, chosen language, test and practice scores, plan interest and campaign parameters (UTM). If you create an account we also store your login details (passwords are stored only as a salted hash). Employer forms collect company name, contact name, phone and number of workers. Contact forms collect your name, email and message.
Voice sessions
When you take the test or a practice session, your microphone audio is streamed to our voice provider, ElevenLabs, so the AI coach can hear you and answer. We do not store your audio. The text transcript of the session is kept by the provider for up to 30 days only to produce your score and corrections, then deleted. The score and your top mistakes are what we keep in your progress.
Why we use it
To run your test and practice sessions, show your results, keep your progress, send the guide and practice tips you asked for, answer demo and contact requests and improve the service. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) for marketing emails and analytics, and the contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b)) for the service you use.
Double opt-in and emails
Before we send marketing emails we ask you to confirm your email address. Every email contains an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to stop at any time.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that help us run A2Ready: ElevenLabs (voice and transcript analysis), our web hosting server and email delivery service. They process data only on our instructions. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with employers or authorities.
International transfers
Our voice provider may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by the safeguards required by GDPR, such as standard contractual clauses.
Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies to run the site (for example to keep you logged in). Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time.
Retention
Lead and contact data is kept for up to 24 months after your last interaction. Account and progress data is kept while your account exists. You can ask us to delete any of it earlier.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a copy of your data, object to processing and withdraw consent at any time by contacting us. You may also complain to the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP) or the authority in your country.
